Day 1 Arrival in Cairo

Welcome to the land of the pharaohs," as you arrive in Cairo.

Welcome to Egypt's enchanted kingdom. Your tour manager will meet you at Cairo International Airport, guide you, and make the procedure easier by giving you an entry visa. After that, you will be driven in a luxurious vehicle with air conditioning. Your tour manager will help you check in and double-check and confirm all pick-up times for all of your tours and activities during your vacation once you arrive at the opulent boutique hotel, Le Riad Hotel de Charme Cairo.

Day 2 Cairo day tours
    • Seeing the Sakkara Great Pyramids

    Your personal guide will take you to the Giza Plateau where you can begin your journey by admiring one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Great Pyramids of Giza, after you have breakfast at Zeeyara, one of Cairo's most charming restaurants located on the rooftop of the boutique Hotel Le Riad de Charme. Take a stroll around the Plateau or ride a camel to the Valley Temple and the famous Sphinx. After eating at a genuine Egyptian restaurant for lunch, you'll move on to the Sakkara neighbourhood to see the Sakkara Complex and the Djoser Pyramid, the first pyramid ever constructed.

Day 3 Travel to Luxor and the East Bank

    You will depart from Cairo today and travel to Luxor. Your tour guide will get you up from your accommodation and drive you to the Cairo Airport so you can fly to Luxor. You will receive assistance in a luxurious, air-conditioned vehicle upon arrival in Luxor so that you can leave for the West Bank at noon on your dahabiya, the Eyaru Dahabiya.     As you sail to the East Bank to see the magnificent Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Return to your dahabiya after your visit, where you can have dinner while overlooking the Nile River.

Day 4 Sunday - West Bank of Luxor

After breakfast, set out to discover Luxor's West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings, the Royal Cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, and then proceed to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. As you marvel at the enormous Colossi of Memnon, the day comes to a close. Once you've finished your visits, head back to your ship and resume sailing while having lunch. Take use of your cruise's incredible amenities by unwinding the rest of the day as you sail while enjoying some afternoon tea, a massage, or a soak in the Jacuzzi. Enjoy a delicious dinner on board to round out the day.

Day 5 MONDAY – ESNA

Early in the morning, as you eat your first meal on board your dahabiya and are surrounded by beautiful scenery, cross the Esna Lock. After breakfast, we see the magnificent Esna Temple. Return to your dahabiya after your excursion, where you can spend the rest of the day relaxing and sailing until it's time for your next adventure. Day 6 Tuesday – EDFU

While travelling to your next destination, Edfu, enjoy another breakfast on board. When you get there, go to the Edfu Temple to see the two exquisite granite statues of the falcon god Horus that stand guard over the entrance.

Enjoy a spectacular experience as you ride in a horse-drawn carriage to the temple and return while taking in Upper Egypt's everyday life. Travel through the rural, leisurely pace of the neighbourhood farmers and fishers. You will set out on the open sea once more after returning to your dahabiya. As you have lunch and go to your next destination, take in the stunning verdant, fertile landscapes filled with banana and date palm trees.

When you get to Bassawa Island, go outside and stroll among the charming locals. You will actually have the opportunity to interact with a local family and spend time in their house, where you will be introduced to the real way of life of these people. You are welcome to visit their farm, talk to the kids, and spend the day acting like a real Egyptian.

After bidding farewell to the charming family, return to your dahabiya and savour a full dinner in a romantic setting.

Day 7 Wednesday - Gebel El-Silsila & Kom Ombo
  • On board your opulent dahabiya, savour another delectable breakfast as you cruise to Gebel Silsela, your destination for the day. When you arrive in the historic quarries of Silsela, explore the enigmatic rock-cut Temple of Hormoheb before ascending Silsela Mountain to take in the truly mesmerising view. Return to your dahabiya and take a leisurely cruise to Kom Ombo, your next stop, while savouring a freshly prepared meal.

    In the late afternoon, land on the Kom Ombo shoreline and stroll around the village with the people until you reach the remarkable Kom Ombo Temple with its two identical entrances, hypostyle halls, and sanctuaries. Return to your dahabiya after your visit, where you can enjoy a delicious meal while sailing to Aswan.

Day 8 Thursday – sightseeing in Aswan:

As you travel to the vivacious city of Aswan, savour another delectable breakfast on board. After you arrive, go sightseeing in this lovely city and interact with the friendliest residents. Visit the notorious High Dam first, and then continue to the enormous Unfinished Obelisk, which is still lying on its side in one of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt. You will next continue to the lovely Temple of Philae, which is dedicated to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor. After your trips, you will return to your dahabiya and savour a delicious meal while floating in the Nile's stunning waters.

Abu Simbel Temples:

  • Iconic Landmarks: Abu Simbel is home to two magnificent temples built by Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC. The Great Temple of Ramses II is dedicated to the pharaoh himself and the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, while the smaller temple is dedicated to his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.
  • Impressive Architecture: These temples are renowned for their colossal statues, intricate carvings, and grand façades, showcasing the architectural prowess of ancient Egypt.
  • Sun Festival: If you visit during the biannual Sun Festival (in February and October), you can witness the sun illuminating the inner sanctum of the temple, lighting up statues of the gods except for Ptah, the god of darkness.
  • Historical Significance: Abu Simbel was relocated in a massive UNESCO-led operation in the 1960s to save it from being submerged by the rising waters of Lake Nasser due to the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
