After pickup from your hotel or Nile cruise ship in Aswan, travel by private vehicle to the High Dam. Enjoy views of Lake Nasser and learn how the dam transformed the region. Continue to the boat dock and take a short ride to Philae Island. Explore the Temple of Isis with your guide, then return by boat to the mainland. Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries. See the enormous obelisk still attached to the bedrock and learn how ancient workers carved stone.
